Kuta Beach First Impression

The first time I saw Kuta Beach, it took no further explaining why Bali is an island paradise from when it was discovered up to this day. It never loses it's charm, specially for those looking for a magical point in their lives, or even a refuge.

We stayed at Sam's bar. This is a beach bar where they offer you to buy different refreshments as iced tea, coffee, beer and sodas, in exchange of a chair and lovely spot in the beach front.
Hassle free! Just take off your shoes and sit down with your bare feet flat on the white sand and your are solved! Just lovely!

If you want to watch our YOUTUBE video about our first impression of Kuta beach, here it is! I hope you can LIKE & SUBSCRIBE.

The beach was bustling with activities. Surfing is the most popular choice, but so is jogging, promenades, yoga, frisbee name it...it's gotta be there!

The funny thing we noticed is that, Bubbly Hubby and I belonged to the minority of locals-look alike who are vacationing there. There are more Caucasians than Asians in this part of the world and we were just amazed with that!

While seated at that 'paid by PUCUK' chair, a couple of women offering braid work, massages, hair treatments, tattoos etc. approached us and for a while we had to stand guard to gently ward them off.
Afterwards, it's you, your honey, that surprisingly refreshing drink, your bare feet loving the warm sand and the sun slowly going down on the horizon.

Perfect!

I paid around 30 pesos for those 2 iced teas but it was all I needed to savour that magical moment of being in Bali for the first time.

Why all the fuss? Well, I can not forget the fact that when I asked my sister before actually having the trip this question; WHAT IS A MUST DO IN BALI? She did not say do yoga, or visit the temples, watch the traditional Balinese dance or learn to surf. She just said, go to the beach and drink beer/tea/soda WHILE watching the sunset.  You'll have to try it yourself to believe this advice.

All I can say is, "done and done".

As cliche as it may sound, but there's always truth in it; The best things in life are free.

Again, thanks for reading and please watch out for our next uploads, so you can travel, the Frugalicious Way too!
